Rahat Indori (born Rahat Qureshi; 1 January 1950 – 11 August 2020) was a legendary Indian Urdu poet, ghazal writer, Bollywood lyricist, and former professor of Urdu literature. He was one of the most popular and influential voices in contemporary Urdu mushairas (poetry recitals).

Rahat Indori’s poetry was known for its powerful delivery, sharp wit, social commentary, and fearless dissent. He blended romantic ghazals with strong political and humanistic themes. His couplets often addressed love, injustice, identity, and resilience, making Urdu poetry accessible and impactful for mass audiences.
