Sarvat Husain (also spelled Sarwat Husain or Sarvat Husain, pen name: ‘Sarvat’) was a prominent Pakistani Urdu poet and educator, known for his association with Pakistan’s ‘New Wave’ (Jadeediyat) movement in modern Urdu poetry.
His work continues to attract new readers, especially for its piercing honesty and distinctive voice in modern Urdu literature.
